Follow-up to this mornings thought: Letting go is one of the hardest things to do. Whether it's letting go egos, pride, people, fears, attitudes, material things or control, there is no easy way I have found. The bottom line is we have to have FAITH that God will see us through. I believe it is one of the most difficult tasks to do because in the back of our minds our thoughts may be, "maybe I'm supposed to hold on cause I may need it", or "maybe the person may come around" or "I can never forgive this person for what they did (it hurt too much... how would that make me look? I won't let anyone do that to me again)" but the truth of the matter is that the longer we hold on, the more painful and difficult it gets to let go. A great example is the story in the Book of Exodus (the Bible) with the story of the Israelite's wandering for 40 years on what was supposed to be a 11 day trip. So basically it is a lack of faith & gratitude the prolong our blessings. It gets easier to let go with practice and time.
