Giving UP vs. Letting GO

Sweet Bee's thought of the day: LETTING GO does not mean we are GIVING UP. Although it seems like the same thing, there are MAJOR differences between the two. LETTING GO means we have tried everything and have faith that the situation can only work itself out through God (the situation is bigger than you) however with GIVING UP we don't care to try and have no hope in the situation. Think of it like a game of cards. GIVING UP is like folding our hands before even trying out of fear, so we gain NOTHING. LETTING GO is playing our hand out and even if we lose (cause there is nothing more we personally can do anymore), therefore we gain so much. We might lose what we are holding on to but we will gain so much more from the experience. We have to know when to cut our losses (usually cause they keep bringing us negative results) and when to keep trying to make the situation work. If we try and don't succeed without exploring other options, then that is GIVING UP. If we tried every possible option we can and it is beyond our control then we have to LET IT GO and leave it in God's hands to work the situation out. It takes a strong person to LET GO and have faith that the outcome will bring positive results. As the saying goes "if we love something let it go and if it comes back it was meant for we" ... if not then we are more blessed without it. We have to Trust that the Lord knows what's best for our life.
